Amazon’s streaming deal doesn’t add clarity Rangers’ TV deal

Diamond Sports Group believes it has negotiated an exit from bankruptcy, with Amazon infusing more than $100 million into the regional sports network for a chance at streaming MLB games.

The announcement early Wednesday morning seemed to catch just about everyone off guard, including MLB and the Rangers. They even said so in a court hearing later in the day.

But what initially looked like a potential lifeline for the Rangers and their fans, and was reported as such by a few outlets, was actually another day without any answers on the future of the team’s TV deal.

Clear as mud. Access to BSS (appropriate acronym) is so restricted on streaming services, they just need to go away.
