Amid arbitration frenzy, Rangers gain more insight on pitching market

A busy day across baseball Thursday might have given the Rangers more clarity on how to move forward with their pursuit of starting pitching.
The Rangers, though, also made their own news.
They added a veteran catcher on a one-year deal and avoided salary arbitration with seven of their eight eligible players. The exception is Adolis Garcia, who wants $6.9 million in 2024 while the Rangers countered with $5 million.
While there is work to do with Garcia, the Rangers also have work to do on their rotation.
