The Word Series is over, the winter meetings are next week, and now the fun begins. The first installment of Armchair GM addressed what an entire offseason might look like. Today, let’s focus on one aspect and see the available options.

Rangers owner Ray Davis mentioned in August that the offseason would consist of pitching and a middle-of-the-lineup bat. So we’re going to focus on the bats, assessing who is available via trade, free agency or within the organization.

Like the lineup, I’d probably have Garver DH ing tho, don’t think he holds up as everyday catcher. Would settle for Gallo or Yoshida and hope Carter comes on like gangbusters if Tavares doesn’t take the Bull by the horns

Would not want to see Gallo back. Nothing but a distraction in the lineup. Would take a chance on Bellinger before Gallo if you want to trade Thompson or Taveras. I see you filled the LF spot. That is ~about all you have to spend on hitting after 2 starters and a BP arm are signed.

Not in on Gallo whatsoever. Would take a chance on Bellinger before Gallo if you want to trade Thompson or Taveras. I see you filled the LF spot. That is ~about all you have to spend on hitting after 2 starters and a BP arm are signed.
