HOUSTON — Nothing matters this time of year besides winning, and the Texas Rangers have become masters of that in the MLB postseason.
Any possible way to win a ballgame, the Rangers have done it.
Maybe it hasn’t been pretty and maybe fingernails are being chewed and heads of hair are turning gray, but no one has beaten the Rangers in their seven playoff games.
As nerve-racking as things became Monday afternoon and into the evening, the Rangers once again found a way.
Now, they find themselves in the driver’s seat in the American League Championship Series.
Why is John Smotlz so overzealous in his constanr hatred of Texas? I saw it vs Tampa, Baltimore, snd here. He has been rooting against Texas like crazy. It’s obvious, from thr “unfortunately, Houston…” or “hopefully, Texas” statements, facial expressions, and absurd optimism that Texas will lose each time.
