May of 2023 will not be remembered fondly by Rangers player development.
Three of the four affiliates endured long losing streaks. Some top prospects struggled. Kumar Rocker, the third overall pick in the 2022 draft, underwent Tommy John surgery.
But that doesn’t mean the month was a complete loss, as several players performed well. One player in particular might look back at May as a turning point in his career.
