Friday on the Farm: A healthy shoulder and recharged mind have Kyle Cody aiming higher

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Kyle Cody owns a home about 20 minutes from the Surprise Recreation Campus, a place he knows as intimately as Cole Ragans, Chris Seise and Ryan Garcia.

It’s an exclusive club no one wants to join. They’ve all had multiple prolonged rehab stints at the Rangers’ Arizona home from injuries that have derailed their careers just as they were about to get going.

One is bad enough. A second one is demoralizing.

I would like to see both Burke and Cody be given a shot at the rotation next year.

    Jeff,

Aaron Zavala, apparently was taken out of a Frisco game due to diving for a ball about 4 games ago. He hasn’t play since that game. Any word on the injury and when he will return to game action?

I’m guessing by now you saw he is on the IL with a mild left knee sprain. He’s expected to miss fewer than 10 days.
