Friday on the Farm: Acuna gets plenty of help from famous brother, but wants to do own thing

Luisangel Acuna is a ball of muscle who can run, defend and consistently produce some of the hardest exit velocities in the Texas Rangers’ farm system.
He’s one of the organization’s top-10 prospects and is back playing at High A Hickory after a hamstring injury on Opening Day.
Most, though, don’t know him for any of that.
Acuna is the younger brother of Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuna Jr., 24, and interviews with Luisangel, 20, almost always include some Ronald talk.
Luisangel doesn’t mind talking about his brother at all. He’s proud of him.
He also has pride, and wants to people to know him for what he does on the field.
“We are two different people,” Acuna said. “He plays outfield and I play infield. He’s doing his thing. I want to do my thing.”
Great article. I think Luisangel could be in the same situation as Trea Turner when he first came up with Washington. Since Ian Desmond was still at SS, Turner moved to CF and once Desmond left as a FA Turner was able to play SS regularly. If Luisangel plays well enough to get to the bigs then depending on Seager, Luisangel could play in the OF until Seager slides over to 3B (I think that happens in 4-5 years). Thoughts?
