Friday on the Farm: Evan Carter not only Rangers prospect who could make Opening Day roster

ARLINGTON — Evan Carter joined the Rangers on Friday exactly how anyone who has been around him figured he would.
He went right to work and did so with smile on his face. He was wildly polite while in front of the camera and incredibly honest, except when asked if he had anything to say to everyone who doubted him on draft day in 2020.
The Rangers are throwing him into the fire of a playoff race, but they tried to throw him into the end that isn’t burning quite as hot. He batted ninth and played right field, though he hadn’t done either in some time.
“I don’t know that I ever have,” he said of batting ninth. “But I’m not really upset about it.”
