SUGAR LAND — Things couldn’t be going much better for Leody Taveras.
He has taken to the swing changes recommended to him in spring training like bees to honey, and the best results of his minor-league career have followed.
His wife and two kids, ages 4 and 2, are living with him this season.
Taveras, the owner of a .188 career MLB average, has never seemed more content or confident.
The only thing that could make his basebal life even better is a promotion to the Rangers’ roster.
It seems inevitable.
