Friday on the Farm: Owen White not satisfied with start to season at Frisco

(Frisco RoughRiders)

The day after he pitches, a starting pitcher is sore.

The day after he doesn’t pitch as well he he would have liked, a starting pitcher is really sore.

Such was the case Friday morning for right-hander Owen White, one of the top-100 prospects in the Baseball America rankings and the Rangers’ No. 2 prospect.

He wasn’t happy with his performance Thursday night at Arkansas, where he allowed four runs in four innings as Double A Frisco lost 8-2. He walked five, and that’s what seemed to have him most … sore.

But the whole season hasn’t lived up to his high standards.

Jeff – what is going on with Dustin Harris. Is it lingering injury from last yr or just a tough start?
