FRISCO — A conversation with Owen White is almost like taking breather.
He’s laid-back, seems unperturbed by any question, and when it’s over, he smiles and shakes your hand like you’d just been enjoying a cup of coffee in his kitchen.
But don’t let the charm of his North Carolina accent and folksy way of saying things fool you. When hitters step into the batter’s box against him, he’s coming into their kitchen.
At this point, top starter in the system, imo. Saw him once live and 3 times on MiLBtv. Must watch outings.
I need to dial in a little more on my live viewing of these guys. That Globe Life AC, though, keeps pulling me in.
There is something different about Owen. Kinda sounds like Nolan. This kid is gonna put Winn in his rearview mirror soon.
Now that you say it, he does kind of talk in the same manner as Nolan. I like Owen. Hope he continues to excel.
