Friday on the Farm: This outfielder was a key cog in Round Rock’s record win streak

Something happened Thursday night that hadn’t happened since Aug. 6 — Triple A Round Rock lost.
The Express saw its franchise-record 14-game winning streak snapped in a 4-3 loss in 12 innings to Salt Lake. The streak was filled with a wide variety of wins, from nail-biters to blowouts to walk-offs, and a large cast played a role.
Not surprisingly for the Pacific Coast League, the offense did a lot of the heavy lifting by producing 110 runs during the streak. Davis Wendzel continues to launch home runs, and Blaine Crim has once again pushed his average close to .300.
Both infielders were drafted by the Rangers, albeit 18 rounds apart in the 2019 draft. Rangers fans likely know them.
But they might not know
