ARLINGTON — Nathan Eovaldi was unhittable Friday during the first two innings of Game 1 of the World Series.

He was pumping strikes, hitting spots and quickly disposing of Diamondbacks hitters.

Leading by two after two, the Rangers seemed to be in control of the opener of the best-of-7 series.

It certainly looked as relievers wouldn’t be needed until the seventh inning.
