Josh Jung’s MLB debut came too late for him, but is right on schedule

ARLINGTON — Each player selected in the MLB Draft, especially college-polished players plucked in the first round, wants to be in the major leagues the next day.

That MLB debut can’t come soon enough.

The draftees know the reality, though. They’re going to the minors, hopefully not for the long.

They can’t envision a pandemic shutting down a season, but, then again, who the hell could have?

And injuries? They’re out there, but not on draft day.

No player, though, has the same journey no matter how predestined it might seem.

Just ask Josh Jung.
