Leody Taveras confidently rolling in the right direction as Rangers’ center fielder

ARLINGTON — Corey Seager is currently hogging the spotlight, and deservedly so.

He is the reigning American League Player of the Week, and is making a strong early defense of the award.

The Rangers don’t win four of their past six games without him.

But they also don’t win without Leody Taveras, the center fielder many outside the organization were giving up on entering the season.
