Rangers farm report: Jack Leiter turnaround began after Futures Game appearance

Jack Leiter, it appears, has struck on something.
The Rangers’ 2021 first-round pick (No. 2 overall) just crafted his most complete month by allowing two runs in five innings Tuesday at Amarillo, one of the worst parks for pitchers in the minor leagues.
The right-hander finished August with a 3.96 ERA and shaved a half-run off his 2022 ERA, which now sits a 5.25 in the hitter-friendly Texas League. Leiter has had some rough outings with Double A Frisco in his first professional season, but he has also learned how to pitch after a dominant college career.
