Considering he didn’t pitch for seven weeks while on the developmental list, Jack Leiter was a candidate to pitch in the offseason. The Arizona Fall League seemed like the most likely destination.
However, the 2021 first-round pick wasn’t on the Surprise Saguaros roster when it was released last week, and he won’t be pitching in the Caribbean this winter, either.
The Rangers talked about it, though.
Trade Lowe and give him an opportunity to be the everyday first baseman.
