    I can’t believe no comments on this! Here’s the obvious question, if he was the “best high school player” and the “best pitching prospect” in the draft, why did he fall to the 4th round?

      Not the best high school player, but the best high school pitcher. I think the reason he dropped is … Scott Boras. Once Porter wasn’t selected in the top 15 and fell into teams with smaller bonus pools, teams knew Boras would demand more than they could pay Porter.
