Rangers notes: Evan Carter out of Rangers’ lineup in Game 2 of ALCS

HOUSTON — The hero of Game 1 of the American League Championship Series for the Rangers was not in their starting lineup for Game 2, but the expectation was that Evan Carter would be in the game once Astros starter Framber Valdez exited.

Manager Bruce Bochy said that he gave Robbie Grossman the start because he has a good batting average against left-handers, though not necessary Valdez, and Carter doesn’t have much experiences against port-siders.
