Rangers notes: Nathan Eovaldi to start World Series opener

ARLINGTON — Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi will start Friday in Game 1 of the World Series for the Rangers, manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday at Globe Life Field before the American League champions held their first workout since they unseated the Astros.
Eovaldi was the choice over left-hander Jordan Montgomery, who has pitched ahead of Eovaldi all postseason.
