Rangers Today Baseball Podcast breaks down the draft with Kip Fagg
DUNCANVILLE — The Rangers Today Baseball Podcast doesn’t mess around when it comes to the MLB Draft.
Amateur scouting director Kip Fagg joined the program only three days after the Rangers made 18 picks, including first-rounder Wyatt Langford with the fourth overall pick. He signed this week for a $8 million bonus.
In addition to talking about the draftees, Fagg talked about draft strategy and got into the weeds a little on what it takes to sign non-drafted free agents. He also had some very interesting things to say about what would have happened had the five-round 2020 draft been 10 rounds.
That’s worth a listen just by itself.
