Joe Barlow underwent offseason wrist surgery to help the blister issue in his index finger.
Say what now?
The Rangers right-hander is one of 11 kids, and his brothers sound like some good ball breakers.
He went to Salt Lake Community College to be a catcher.
He just married the daughter of former MLB All-Star Luis Gonzalez.
The newlyweds are the proud owners of a Micro Mini Goldendoodle.
That’s a lot to unpack, and Barlow did that last week on Episode 72 of the Rangers Today Baseball Podcast.
He joined me at Surprise Stadium, and we Zoomed back to Fort Worth with John Moore for our second episode from spring training. By the way, the finger condition is called Linburg-Comstock Syndrome and it’s not as rare as it sounds.
