Rangers Today Baseball Podcast opens 2023 with new right-hander Nathan Eovaldi

Nathan Eovaldi had no shortage of reasons to be excited last week.
The right-hander was introduced Thursday by the Rangers after signing a two-year, $34 million contract Dec. 28.
Eovaldi is from Alvin, which should sound familiar to Rangers fans. He, his wife and two kids live just up the road in Friendswood.
Pitching in Texas means something to Eovaldi, and he’s looking forward to pitching for Team USA in a couple months in the World Baseball Classic.
He talks about his Texas connection and the WBC in the latest episode of the Rangers Today Baseball Podcast, which was film about an hour after he finished the introductory news conference.
Eovaldi was under time constraints, but John Moore and I still managed to squeeze around 15 minutes out of him and he said he would come back on the show when he has more time.
Spring training sounds like a good time to me.
