Rangers Today Baseball Podcast talks Do It For Durrett with Emily Jones

FORT WORTH — Just go ahead and put this episode on the calendar each fall.
The Do It For Durrett Foundation is the nearest cause to my heart, and with more than 125 families helped and more than $1 million raised, DIFD isn’t stopping anytime soon.
The next event, DIFD The Ocho, is scheduled for Oct. 14 at Four Corners Brewery in Dallas.
Emily Jones, one of the six foundation board members, joined John Moore and me to discuss the event and what the foundation means eight years after Richard Durrett passed away suddenly. We also talked some Rangers baseball, and Emily has had one of the best seats in the house for this season.
Back to Do It For Durrett, which helps area families who experience the kind of sudden loss that Richard’s wife, Kelly, did. She hasn’t taken a dime since our first event, which started as a one-off but became the current form of Do It For Durrett. Jon Daniels, Anthony Andro, Ashley Ernisse, Kelly, Emily and I are on the board, but we wouldn’t be doing any of this without the support of Kelly and her sweet kiddos.
If you can’t make the event but want to help, visit www.doitfordurrett.com to donate. If you want to come and didn’t get your tickets, drop me an email and we’ll see what we can do (wink wink).
