Rangers Today Baseball Podcast welcomes the local boy, Josh Stephan

DUNCANVILLE — If current trends hold, High A Hickory right-hander Josh Stephan will be Double A Frisco right-hander Josh Stephan before too long, and that would be a treat for the emerging Rangers pitching prospect.
Stephan is from Grand Prairie, went to South Grand Prairie High School and works out every offseason at TMI Sports Medicine in Arlington. Naturally, he loves Whataburger.
A promotion to Frisco would mean this friends and family could see him pitch every time out.
Stephan also loves throwing strikes, and that’s what has led to his success so far this season. So has the addition of a cutter. The Rangers also made sure to give him a good foundation but not stepping on the gas with his development after he signed in 2020 as a undrafted free agent.
He is right on schedule, and he even found time in his schedule to join the Rangers Today Baseball Podcast. Life happened last week, so this one is a little late, but the Stephan interview has some evergreen to it.
