T.R.’s Memoirs: A dozen candidates who once upon a time could have been Rangers manager

Bruce Bochy could be the Rangers next manager, having already spoken with Chris Young. Bochy would be an impact hire, having led the Giants to three World Series titles.

Or he could join an impressive list of men who almost were, could have been or at least were considered to be the Rangers’ next manager. Here is a list of a dozen well-known big-leaguers whose name came up during one of the Rangers’ many managerial searches through the years.
