Editor’s note: T.R. Sullivan covered the Texas Rangers over 32 years for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and MLB.com and is sharing his “memoirs” with this website. In the latest installment, T.R. talks about the Rangers and New York City.
Donald Trump once sat next to me at Yankee Stadium. It was during a World Series game. Well, he was one row ahead of me, and Melania Trump — I think it was her — was sitting between us to my left.
Every time there was a ball hit to left field, Trump stood up in front of me, blocking my view of the play. Even back then, Trump was interfering with the Fake News crowd.
Love it! New York is exhausting…just living and working there is a chore. Covering the Rangers in NYC had to be a ton of fun though.
