The Rangers held an optional workout Tuesday at Globe Life Field, and a good deal of the team chose to stay away.

No one was judged, especially those who hadn’t seen their children in two weeks while the team was on cross-country baseball journey. And that first day back with the family definitely isn’t an off day.

Hopefully, area Main Event and Chuck E. Cheese locations were the beneficiaries.

If all goes well Tuesday night, the Rangers have Wednesday off, too.

They hold a 2-0 lead over Baltimore in the American League Championship Series and can advance to the championship series with a Game 3 victory. The Rangers will be playing their first postseason game at Globe Life Field and their first home postseason game since 2016 across the street.

They are also looking forward to seeing their fans for the first time in two weeks and hoping a crowd of 40,000 can help carry them onward in the MLB postseason.
