Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast: Jared Sandler isn’t just a radio man. Check out his charity

One thing the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast hopes to do is to spread the word about Rangers players, officials and media who are doing good things via charity to help the DFW community.
The Do It For Durrett Foundation will always be a part of the Rangers Today website (become a paid subscriber here) and this podcast. This week’s episode is a step toward achieving our goal.
Rangers pregame and postgame radio host Jared Sandler, who is also pretty handy with his occasional play-by-play of Rangers games, is the guest on the latest podcast episode.
We definitely talk Rangers baseball and what his bird’s-eye view of the club last season told him about the state of the big-league club, but we kick things off with Sandler talking about his charity.
The Sandlot Children’s Charity has a big event coming up Dec. 11, and you can attend it and help kids dealing with physical and developmental issues gain better access to sports.
It’s a great charity. The Top Golf portion of the event is sold out, but the concert portion (Bowling for Soup is playing) has tickets available for $25. A host of Rangers players are tentatively scheduled to attend. The Cowboys’ game will be over before the event begins.
Do it.
