Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast with guest Dave Raymond now available

(Texas Rangers/Ben Ludeman)
FORT WORTH — Until John Moore or I say something that goes completely viral, and then likely gets once of us canceled, the guests will always be who makes the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast go.
We’ve had big-league and minor-league players, club executives, manager Chris Woodward, and now we’ve completed the TV broadcast team. Play-by-play man Dave Raymond is the guest for Episode 33, and the third shot in the Roxo Media House studios.
Raymond is a funny man with a tough job, calling the games of a rebuilding team. But he put the challenges of the past two seasons, in which broadcasters were not allowed to travel during the COVID pandemic, into perspective.
He could have things a helluva lot worse.
And he knows what he’s talking about, as someone who took a longish road to his dream job. Raymond lived in his car right out of college, worked for some minor-league clubs, but then got a break as a fill-in broadcaster with the Orioles. He then moved to the Astros and has been calling Rangers games since 2016.
Raymond also makes his own elderberry jam.
