Rangers Reaction: The offense, the ump, two relievers in spotlight vs. Astros

(Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports)

HOUSTON — Astros fans just can’t help themselves.

Their constant booing of Adolis Garcia isn’t helping their favorite team. It’s fueling their Public Enemy No. 1.

Garcia delivered again Friday in front of the hostile Minute Maid Park crowd, going 2 for 3 with two RBI singles, two runs and two stolen bases.

“I try to ignore the crowd,” García said. “I just focus on having good at-bats. But that makes me feel good. There’s a lot of people against me, and they pay for the show.”

Garcia also said that he is trying to stay within himself more this season, as his two singles would indicate. They were to right-center field and hit at a time when the Rangers didn’t need a long ball.”

A more-under-control Garcia might make for a more dangerous Rangers lineup.

“I try to be aggressive in some moments, and in some moments I have to just calm down and just [have] a good at-bat,” he said. “That’s the only thing on my mind right now. … I’m looking for a good pitch for me. I’m not trying to just hit everything.”

Here’s some more Rangers Reaction from a 12-8 victory.
