Rangers Reaction: Cody Bradford twirls gem in 10-2 rout of Astros

ARLINGTON — Breaking news: The Astros did not win Friday at Globe Life Field.

They had won eight straight games here, including the postseason, and most of them were lopsided outcomes.

The Rangers were very aware of that entering their first of 13 games this season against Houston.

“They whipped our butts last year,” left-hander Cody Bradford said.

Bradford had the task of slowing down an Astros offense that includes Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Tucker and Alex Bregman. Jose Abreu, a former league MVP, batted seventh Friday.

Bradford did his job, the offense gave him plenty of support and the Rangers are 1-0 against the Astros in 2024.

Here’s some Rangers Reaction from a 10-2 victory.
