ARLINGTON — Rookie outfielder Evan Carter missed his third consecutive game Monday with back stiffness that the Rangers had investigated further with an MRI exam.

Manager Bruce Bochy didn’t have any update before the opener of a six-game homestand, just hope that Carter doesn’t have a serious injury that will keep him out for an extend stretch.

Their hopes appear to have been heard.

I vowed to not criticize the 2024 Rangers after they won it all last year. Have not so far, but biting my lip and holding my fingertips back now.
