Rangers notes: Is J.P. Martinez on verge of replacing Leody Taveras?

ARLINGTON — Leody Taveras was out of the Rangers’ starting lineup Tuesday for the first time since July 5, and he needed the rest.
The center fielder is batting only .180 in his past 27 games, and his season was starting to resemble the 2022 campaign in which he admitted to feeling fatigued in September.
