Texas Rangers release details for Friday’s World Series parade

Who loves a parade?

The Texas Rangers are about to have their first as World Series champions at 12:15 p.m. Friday.

Rumor has it that fans were camping outside Thursday night along the proposed parade route. Five school districts, including the Arlington ISD, canceled classes Friday so that the students, faculty and staff could attend (and out of fear that they would be short on students, faculty and staff).

The Arlington Entertainment District could be invaded Friday afternoon.

The parade, which will feature every Rangers player and coach, will track from the south side of Globe Life Field, west toward AT&T Stadium, north around Mark Holtz Lake, east along the north side of Choctaw Stadium and back south toward Globe Life Field.

Afterward, the team will head to the North Plaza of Globe Life Field, next to Texas Live!, to take the stage and hopefully say or do something that goes viral.

The Rangers are estimating that the team will hit the stage at 2:30 p.m. but stressed it is only an estimate.

Pack snacks and water, be patient when trying to park, be courteous, watch out for kids, talk to Rangers Today if approached and don’t do anything stupid like drink too much and decide to drive.

Have fun, be loud and bask in the glow of the Rangers’ first world title.
