Texas Rangers notes: Lowe brothers thinking of their mom as she battles cancer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — When the Rangers came to Tropicana Field in June and the Rays made the return trip to Globe Life Field in July, one of the stars of the show was Wendy Lowe.
She had a son on each team and sported a custom jersey to make sure she didn’t slight one of her boys.
But Wendy was notably absent Tuesday as the Rangers’ Nathaniel Lowe and the Rays’ Josh Lowe opened their American League wild-card series. Life has thrown the family the nastiest of curveballs.
