The Rangers, Wyatt Langford and drafting character

ARLINGTON — Wyatt Langford might be the most talented Rangers draft choice in years, and that’s not to take anything away from now-touted prospects of past drafts.
Industry publications certainly agree with that, as they’ve ranked Lankford ahead of 2020 second-rounder Evan Carter. Carter has the lead in the race to the majors, by benefit of having reached Double A already.
That duo might be playing in the same outfield for several seasons to come, and, even though they are different players, are likely to be compared to one another, too.
But they are similar in one regard, along with the majority of other Rangers prospects: They check all the boxes in the character/makeup column.
How big of a deal is that to the Rangers?
