ARLINGTON — Staring squarely at a second straight loss to open the 2011 World Series, the Rangers needed a run to keep Game 2 going and two to take a ninth-inning lead.
The good news is the top of the order was due up.
If anything had rung true the past two seasons, it was that good things happened at the top of the lineup.
That’s where Ian Kinsler resided, and the Rangers needed him to get on base.
Ah, there but for Endy Chavez goes a world championship. Sigh…
