The Sunday Read: Missing piece of future Rangers infields is in place. No, it’s not Josh Jung

ARLINGTON — The rest of the 2022 schedule for the Texas Rangers, all 22 games of it after today, features two doubleheaders.

The first of those is Monday at Miami as the fallout from the lockout gives both teams an unwelcome kick in the nether regions.

Those doubleheaders might be the only time third baseman Josh Jung gets a game off.

I’ve been very impressed by Lowe this season. He definitely has room, and the ability, to improve the glove. Some people think I’m crazy, but I see Lowe as a left-handed Michael Young starter kit. Above average contact skill, that can hit for power, but is slightly below average as a fielder.
