One of the annoying things about being a sports writer is the semantics game.
The start of a week on the calendar is Sunday. But a sports week (and a school week and a work week) starts on Monday.
So, save the emails or tweet replies for the following review of the week that was for the Texas Rangers, beginning Monday.
What a week it was, and it’s not over yet.
Records have been set, players have been hurt, wins have outnumbered losses, prospects have shined and the new manager got his money’s worth.
Whether you’re in Camp Starts on Sunday or Camp Starts on Monday, the week made one thing clear: Rangers baseball is relevant again.

I know “power rankings” don’t mean squat but surely the industry is starting to take notice. There wasn’t any movement last week when they were leading the division. I like flying under the radar as a “sneaky” contender but I would also like for the industry to take notice how they’re playing each week.
