The Sunday Read: World-champion Rangers need to reload via free agency

The Rangers front office will make its triumphant return to Arizona on Tuesday. If that feels a little soon, well, it is.
The annual general managers meetings are scheduled to start in Scottsdale, only six days after the Rangers finished off the Diamondbacks in Phoenix for their first World Series championship.
As much as the Rangers have coming back for their title defense, they have holes to fill.
It just so happens that the window to sign free agents opens Monday.
Our new friends at @TriumphBooks have something for #Rangers fans. It's a commemorative book of the World Series run, with all content provided by Rangers Today. Pretty exciting. And, I've been told, really cheap at $16.95 plus shipping. Pre-order now! https://t.co/6vcmQjX2im pic.twitter.com/CGiUtjxBUr

Garver is probably still worth 12-15 MM per year, but not to Texas. I wish they extended a QO to him since they lose 2 picks anyways when (not if) they sign Hader. Also, I agree that the 50-60 MM on Ohtani would be better spent on Hader (6/110 according to MLBTR) at 18 million AAV, Montgomery at 22-25, and the rest on Neris and Maton or whoever (or give Garver a long deal at 8 AAV like 8/64 MM).
