Top prospect Evan Carter graces Rangers Today Baseball Podcast with second appearance

(Hickory Crawdads)
FORT WORTH — Evan Carter isn’t the type to rub any “expert’s” nose in what was said in 2020, when the Rangers selected the outfielder with the 50th overall pick.
Some Rangers fans also questioned the pick. You know who you are.
The player the experts didn’t know in the five-round 2020 draft is known now. Baseball America has Carter rated as the Rangers’ top prospect.
Carter, who just turned 20, said that he is happy just to be proving Rangers scouts and player-development folks right.
He said as much during his second appearance on the Rangers Today Baseball Podcast, which was filmed Thursday and Friday at the Roxo Media House studios.
Carter, who turned 20 last month, is finishing off his first professional season at High A Hickory. He has posted a triple-double with double-digits in doubles, triple and home runs.
His goal for the offseason is to pack on some muscle. Everyone might be seeing a bulked up Carter at Double A Frisco next season.
