ARLINGTON — Four of the Rangers’ top five prospects, including right-hander Jack Leiter, will open this season at Double A Frisco, according to break-camp rosters released Wednesday afternoon.

The other three top-five prospects joining Leiter in Frisco are outfielder Evan Carter, right-hander Owen White and shortstop Luisangel Acuna.

All four return to Frisco, but only Leiter spent all season there. He struggled in his debut season after being selected second overall in the 2021 MLB Draft.

However, the 2022 aggressive assignment for Leiter did not impact the Rangers’ decision on 2022 first-rounder Kumar Rocker.
