With Mitch Garver healthy, Rangers’ production at catcher could be among best in baseball

The Cactus League schedule isn’t even a week old, and for the most part what happens in the games doesn’t matter a whole bunch.

Pitchers are working to get right for the regular season. A pitcher might choose to throw only fastballs his entire outing.

Advantage, hitters.

Pitchers, though, have been in camp longer than position players. They’ve been throwing since December or January. The adage is that pitchers are ahead of the hitters.

Advantage, pitchers.

Again, what has been happening so far in Rangers spring games doesn’t really matter.

But that doesn’t mean those results don’t make people wonder about a certain player or position.

Like, say, catcher.

Advantage, Rangers?
